Accommodation
Athletes will be accommodated in hotels mainly in the central business district (within 1km of Cathedral Square). As prescribed by IPC the accommodation is to be provided in 3-Star (and above) hotels.
The Organising Committee has appointed Southern World New Zealand to arrange the very large number of rooms required by the event. NPC’s will be required to book directly with Southern World and full details of the system and rates and conditions of booking will be forwarded by IPC
at the time First Entries are invited.
Southern World New Zealand will also handle bookings for VIP’s, the IPC Family, and Technical Officials (including Medical, Classification, and Doping).

Family and supporters accommodation
Southern World New Zealand will also provide a booking service to family members wishing to travel to NZ to support the athletes. Details of this will be provided at a similar time to the packages advised to the NPC’s, i.e. early 2010. This will include a range of hotels (economy
and 3-4 star, as well as self-catering properties which are called motels in New Zealand.
