Passport holders of the following countries may enter New Zealand as visitors without a visa for a stay of up to three months. All other nationals, including Asylum passport holders, must apply for a visitor visa, even for short visits.

*British citizens or other British passport holders who produce evidence of the right to reside permanently in the United Kingdom may be granted a Visitor's permit for a six month period on arrival in New Zealand.
**Residents of Hong Kong traveling on H.K. Special
Administrative Region or British National (Overseas) Passports.
***Portuguese passport holders must also have the right to live permanently in Portugal.
****Visa waiver does not apply to people traveling on aliens (non - citizen's) passport issued by these countries
Visitor Visas
Visitor visas can be obtained online through NZ Immigration site www.immigration.govt.nz and at least 8 weeks should be allowed for the application process.
Travel/transit via Australia
Some persons transiting through an Australian airport on the way to of from the Championships may require an Australian transit visa. It is not the purpose of this page to advise on Australian requirements but to advise you if you are traveling through
there you must consult you travel agency before departure.
